Diesel Exhaust Fluid Storage Tanks

As part of the Clean Air Act of 1970, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has mandated that all on-road diesel vehicles manufactured January 1, 2010 or later must reduce the harmful NOx emissions. All diesel vehicles from class I to class 8 are included in this requirement. The Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) product is made by blending 0ne-third Urea and two-thirds de-ionized water. DEF product cannot be stored or dispensed using typical petroleum equipment. It is not compatible with carbon steel tanks or soft metals (iron, zinc, nickel, aluminum or copper). Hall Tank Company is proud to announce the only epoxy liner approved by the industy for DEF storage in carbon steel tanks that is compatible for use with DEF. The product has been certified by four different independent third party testing labs to meet ISO 22241-1 standards.
